Eden Green Technology is hiring Packing Technicians for our vertical greenhouses in Cleburne, TX (~20 mins from Fort Worth).

We’re looking for passionate, driven and hardworking individuals to fill positions as Packing Technicians. Packing Technician positions are hands-on and require individuals who enjoy rolling up their sleeves and are accustomed to manual labor-intensive jobs.

Prior experience in packing, specifically in produce and/or leafy greens is a plus but not required. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organized individual to assume a position at a rapidly growing, innovative company. 

Duties may include: hand-packing clamshells, tracking and packing daily orders, operating the labeling line, keeping food safety records, cleaning and sanitizing, measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials, and inspecting produce to ensure quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring fresh produce is packed in correct packing containers based on customer requirements

  • Sorting and selecting high quality product to pack

  • Identifying unacceptable quality product to discard

  • Filling containers to an accurate weight using scales

  • Properly handling product and containers to maximize shelf life and appearance to the company's visual expectations

  • Performing repetitive tasks at a consistent pace which meets productivity expectations

  • Assisting Greenhouse Packing operations

  • Handling, organizing, and loading production supplies and equipment

  • Assisting with inventory control and cold storage organization

  • Labeling, boxing, and staging product materials and supplies

  • Employee training on quality control measures

  • Adhere to Food Safety and Sanitation

  • Follow company food safety policies, and sanitation standard operating procedures

  • Assist with daily cleaning of packing areas, equipment, and supplies

Job Requirements:

  • Be authorized to work in the United States

  • Lift 50 pounds

  • Stand for a full 8-hour shift

  • Maintain a steady pace with careful attention to detail

  • Must have a reliable form of transportation

  • Open availability to work various work schedules including holidays and weekends if needed

  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures that are anywhere from 55 degrees (within the Packhouse) to 90 degrees (within the Greenhouse)

Competitive Benefits: 

Pay band: $14-$16/hr

Compensation is negotiable based on relevant experience or education

After 60 days, the employee will also qualify for full benefits, paid time off and holidays.
